Ok, so it's been a long week of events. Thor is finally feeling better after running a high fever all week and then topping it off with a nice red blotchy rash all over his body for 2 days. We went to Ozark this past weekend. So now we are home, feeling better, and back to blog posting.
Last Saturday, June 21, we took Thor to get his first hair cut at Mrs. Debbie's. He didn't do too bad. He just didn't want to stay in the chair.
As you know Thor's 1st Birthday has come and gone already and I know ya'll are waiting for pictures. After his party on Saturday some of us went swimming. Thor felt hot to the touch so I took his temp before he went to bed, it was 101.8! So I gave him Tylenol and put him to bed. He woke up Sunday morning, temp was over 102. We fought the temp all day, it was staying between 102 and 103 all day. Late Sunday night it was almost 104! So after cooling off in the tub we headed to the ER. They couldn't find anything wrong with him but gave him a dose of Augmentin and gave us a prescription for it. Well, when we got home he threw up the medicine and all the juice and crackers he had been eating all night. After another bath, he went to bed-fever still over 102. He woke up this morning, Monday, fever still over 102 so we headed to the doctor. She checked him all over and said that his throat looked awful and he even had an ulcer on one side of his throat. Poor little guy. So diagnosis: viral tonsillitis. No antibiotic just motrin and tylenol every 2 hours for the fever. Well here it is late Monday night and he's in bed, fever still over 102. I'll get pics of all the events, first hair cut and party, in the next couple of days.
This was Curry's first Father's Day. While waiting for the waffles to cook, Thor found Zac's 3-D glasses and throughly enjoyed the view as you can see.
Curry got an electronic fish scale from is mom and dad for Father's Day and thought he would test it out on Thor. The reading was: 22.9 pounds. As you can see it didn't bother Thor one bit to be dangling from a small hook in his pajamas as he continues to drink his juice.
The 3 of us, Justin and Kelley, Stephanie and Jared, and Tyler all went to the river today. Now getting there wasn't the easiest trip. We had to drive about 15 miles to the edge of the woods. Then we loaded all the gear on four wheelers and road through the dry swamps/woods for about a mile or 2. After our nice adventure, us girls had fun laying out on lounge chairs in the water, the guys enjoyed the fishing and Thor had a blast playing in the sand and water. After several hours of fun in the sun, we loaded up and headed back. As soon as we got on the four wheelers Thor fell asleep in Stephanie's arms and slept all the way through the bumpy ride in the woods.
Also just a quick note, Thor had been whinny the last couple of days and I was wondering if he was getting sick and didn't feel good but yesterday I saw two white swollen spots in his gums on the bottom. So he's getting two more teeth! These will make number 7 and 8.
We went to Justin's Aunt's house so Thor could feed the baby goat. He was ok about giving the bottle to the goat at first but then he wanted his turn. 
They also have a kitten that likes to stalk and pounce the goat every chance it has. Thor throughly enjoyed watching the two play.
We were leaving and the goat got put up in her pen and I told Thor to give her kisses but I guess she didn't want any.
Kayleigh got her fingers in the icing first and Thor wasn't quite sure what was going on but after a few minutes he figured it out and said hey, I can do that too!
Thor thought he needed to lick and suck the cake and icing off of the tray.
We went to the Pioneer Settlement tonight to see the bats come out of the bat house. Although most of the bats were flying too fast for me to catch them in the camera I did get some other pics for ya'll to see from tonight.
